Salt Water Mixing w/Coolant, Heat Exchanger

Hi all- My coolant overflow bottle was overflowing and turns out I have salt water getting into my coolant. I assume it could be one or a number of the tubes in the heat exchanger has corroded through but wondering if anyone has thoughts on more obvious/simpler causes before I start removing the exchanger and dismantling. This is a Lugger 843m Diesel powered generator.

I beleive that you have correctly diagnosed the problem if you have indeed found sea water in the engine coolant.

It may not be the tubes....depending on the cooler, it may be bad gaskets
