On a 1984 Beneteau First 37.5. Thinking on replacing the Flax packing and maybe the complete stuffing box. Boat is in FL, I'll be there this weekend and want to nail down where I can get the parts.

You also need to know what size packing your stuffing box uses. You get enough material is a kit to do almost any size shaft as you will be cutting it to fit.

If you are going to change the whole unit perhaps think about a putting in a drip-less type like a volvo seal https://www.generalpropeller.com/Volvo-Shaft-Seal

thanks, guys. I am planning on using the Volvo Penta seal. I thought all the bene's came with one, I guess the PO changed it.
