MD2030 slight change in revs

Occasionally after several hours of motoring I will notice a 100-200 rpm change( largely detected by ear ) followed a few minutes later by a return to the original rpm. It’s occasional maybe once in a day of motoring. There’s no stuttering or anything.

The filters are clean ( recently changed ) as far as I’m aware.

Anyone any ideas.

I have the same engine and it happens to me sometimes. I have so many other problems that I have chosen to ignore this one

I wonder if it’s just a funny characteristic of that engine and best ignored.

Re: MD2030 slight change in revs

Having your injectors cleaned or running some diesel purge through the engine might solve the issue.

Ive got two of those motors. Dont recall that instability, but plan on 6 + hours of running today. Will pay attention to weirdness.

Tachs showed no unusual behavior today. Ran 2500 all day.
