MD 2030 self starting...

HI
all I have a self starting MD 2030c on my starboard side. If i leave the battery switch on it'll start sometime. I'm sure its a short but cant locate. I expect first item maybe relays, if they are part of the starting process. All wiring looks fine.
then solenoid, then starter itself.
thanks for anyone's similar experiences or knowledge.

I'd suspect the back of the ignition switch or start button where wires are coming together and possibly touching when the wiring loom moves with boat motion.
But your problem is somewhere in the circuit that supplies battery voltage to the solenoid start circuit and fuel stop solenoid.

Relays and the start solenoid either stick off or on.

On the md2030 there are two relays one for the glow and one for the starter circuit , most likely you have a fault

Easy enough to track down
