ISO Universal Diesel M-25 XP

Hi there! I’m in Elizabeth City, NC and on the hunt for a Universal Diesel M-25 XP. Current motor is the same, but previous owners threw a rod and engine is dead.

Locating this engine in good repair affects my offering price on this boat so I’m trying to figure out where to find one aside from buying new at a dealer. $$$$$$

Seems they were in a lot of Catalina and Ericsons, maybe try a direct post on their respective forums?

Set up a Craigslist search or SearchTempest and be patient.

There is one sitting in a barn somewhere, you just need to get the message to the owner.

You can rebuild it or have some one rebuild it. Parts are cheap from Kubota.

I think I saw one yesterday on eBay for 5-6k. Rebuild for 1-2k.

Also expand search to include XPA and XPB. Straight M25 would also work but slightly less HP.
