How tsweet water flush Volvo D2-50+saildrive without "ears" for saildrive dry doc

Hi all,

i hauled out my cat for 3 month+ to do some repairs and wanted to flush the Volvo D2-50 engines with 130S saildrives but the boatyard doesn't have the "ears/adapter" that connects to the saildrive water suck in points on the leg.

How can I flush the engines?

Connect to the suck in hose of the engine before the raw water filter? Is that ok for saildrive?
Saw in another marina just stucked the water pipe in the exhaust...but there the water gets pumped out, not in

Hi - I just ran the hose into the raw water filter, didn't need to shut the intake from the sail drive as the pipe from this is the highest pint of the raw water filter.

You can feed the water in at the saildrive shut off valve, or the filter if it’s high enough, or directly at the sea water pump. Doesn’t matter... Just don’t push water past the impeller with a pressure hose if the engine isn’t running. You don’t want to fill the exhaust system up with water and hydro lock the engine.

The saildrive won’t care if you run it for awhile with no water flowing thru it...

Perfect, thank you that's what I needed to know.
