Head Gasket Volvo MD7A

I am in the process of rebuilding my MD7A. I've had a valve job done, honed the cylinders and replaced the rings. I'm ready to put the head back on with new head gasket. Do I put it on dry or am I supposed to use some sort of glue. If so, should the glue be on both sides or which side. I plan on selling this unit when finished so if someone is interested. Comes with spare transmission and other parts. Thx

Head gasket shellac went the way of the dodo before the big war...

Maybe the old Perkins is a dodo bird then. The copper 4-107 head gasket uses a dressing and the 4-108 steel gasket goes on dry.
