Re: engine won't run well after changing oil/filter

The lesson: it doesn't take much to cause a fatal air leak: loose hose clamp, cracked hose, cracked or misaligned gasket, a bit of dirt under a gasket... The primary filter is the first one the fuel goes through after leaving the tank.

Well then it's still a mystery, as those two systems are not connected in any way, to have cause the air leak in your fuel system.
Glad it's running now, hope that doesn't happen again huh?

Yep, not connected in any way. I remember as a teenager, my friend changed his spark plugs (in his car) and got a flat tire the next time he drove. He blamed it on changing the spark plugs. He was kidding of course.

Agreed, it's really important to understand the sequence of how things got to be that way.
As boats aren't like cars, where you can just call a taxi anytime you break down ,or do something you should not have.
A valuable lesson is to be noticed here, if not learned, it will probably happen again.
