We got the tanks out of the boat without too much effort. Tanks are located under the cockpit. Stan Huntingford did a good design in the aft cabin (Passport 42) by making a cabinet and removable panel a few inches bigger than the width and height of one tank. There is just enough room to ease the port tank through into the cabin, tilt on end, squeeze through the door and go up the companionway. Starboard tank follows. I've heard horror stories about people ripping up boats to get the fuel tank out. Thanks Stan!



I appreciate all the comments here and am applying the guidance into my tank replacement plan.



BTW, I found two Baja fuel filters in the locker and will be posting those in the For Sale thread.
