Deutz bfm 716 - Black Smoke and Drop in RPM

Hi , I have a deutz bfm 716 turbo 6 clyinder engine . It has a problem of black smoke and drop of rpm. Used to get 1600rpm on the move but now only 1200 rpm . but on free load the rpm can go to 2000 . I would like to do the timing setting myself for this . May i know what is the degree from tdc for this model? If I do not know the degree how do i set the timing ? any idea what is the firing order and the clearance intake and outtake for the valve? i am not a certified mechanic but i would like to try to do it myself together with a frien who has a little basic. thank you

Best of luck finding some information on that engine.
My only experience with Deutz is my 40kw generator thats about 10 years old with tons of hours.
It belches black smoke when it first starts but then is fine after that...I'm thinking its rings.
