Yeah, it's just hard to build a 65' long cat in a public area without attracting attention. That's longer than a lot of houses.

Well negotiating Bass Strait from Westernport to Lakes Entrance is no mean feat !

And the lakes would be the perfect environment for that craft. Comparisons to FH is not entirely fair !

That is actually quite good for some ply and 4x4 knocked together in a shed.

I meant it as being a favourable comparison. Guess I missed.

Rebel, I was wrong to imply you and others here at CF are "vultures". It has been said more than once that folks cannot say anything negative without being attacked. We should be able to give constructive criticism, say its crazy. I believe you went over the line with the fake buyer inquiry and the mocking by others is hard for me to take, the protector/mamma bear comes out in me. But I can defend without the drama, and without the insults. I should also remember that I always have the ignore button
Anyways, sorry to all that I called vultures, naysayer, etc. you know who you are

Re: The Flyin Hawaiian is gone!

Such a deal now!

Why are there big blocks of styrofoam strapped across the coachroof?

How are those rudders attached to the steering pods? I can't figure that out.

(I'm not going to SA to get answers to these questions)

How are you supposed to steer the boat if you can only see 270 degrees of the water and it is hard to see in front of the boat.

Why would you even need to steer it? It's not like it has a means of propulsion. Not to mention that the rudders are not attached to anything. Steering linkage was beyond the capabilities of the architect.

I figured, if it moves, everything near it would move out of its way (including normally stationary objects).

No one knows as of yet.

How are those rudders attached to the steering pods? They are not connected. I can't figure that out.
