Nautitech 46 Fly

I loved this boat when I saw it at Annapolis... does anyone have a price list on this one that you could share?

Re: Nautitech 46 Fly

I had one, then they cancel it change quite a bit of it and never sent the most recent one. To give you an idea, a boat with basic equipment, delivered in France it was about 600-630.000 €.
This is pretty much the same as the FP new 47.

Cheers

Re: Nautitech 46 Fly

Saw one listed (not the flybridge) for $456,000.00 2016 model.

I like this cat also, but wonder about the build quality...

Re: Nautitech 46 Fly

Just bumped this to see if any new Nautitech owners might weigh in on build quality. I like the style but read a comment on another thread about the door not closing after a crossing...

Re: Nautitech 46 Fly

Nauthitech is one of the rare cats that I've never had a chance to sail, so I don't have first hand experience. I know they are faster than Lagoon and FP's of similar size. We had one brand new 48 who came last year to winter in our yard and we did some work on it. Finish wasn't very impressive : so,so..
The boat is very elegant and sexy from outside but the lay out instead was terrible., lot of space being wasted and badly used. The owner was saying that they could easily sailed at double digits.
The price of the new 46 is attractive and seem to be sailing well. In terms of finish, I don't think it will be worse than FP, Lagoon or Leopard. My only concern would be a change of paradigm..Nauthitech used to be a small company making 10-15 boats a year in France. Now, they will have to deal with German mentality. hitting much higher number of production, still designed and assembled in France, some parts coming from Germany; what a mess this could be, at least at the beginning of the process..

Cheers

Re: Nautitech 46 Fly

Thanks for the input Yeloya!
I'm trying to find a 45 to 50 foot cat, the perfect boat, which does not exist.

Looking at Voyage, problems w/owner of company/lawsuits?

Catana, don't want to mess with daggerboards, seem to be quality build.

St. Francis, major issues with w/owner of company?

Lagoon, FP, Balance, not interested. Saw these in Miami last year.

Lightwave won't even return emails.

Obviously this all gleaned from the internet so I take it w/grain of salt.

Those are new build options. But I would not be able to check on the build.

Used late model is more realistic, down to a thorough survey. Decisions, decisions...

Will be in Caribbean or Malaysia, blue water gin palace!

I will preface this by saying that all of this is also gleaned from the internet, so take it with a grain of salt.

If you're looking for a factory built boat have you looked at Antares 44? Or for a similar price you could probably commission a build at a yard in S. Africa or SE Asia off of any design of your choosing. I think either of these routes would give you more control over the build process.

Re: Nautitech 46 Fly

Appreciate it but not a realistic option, I probably acquire a late model used something. Antares is an awesome boat though, despite the problems in Venezuela...

I really liked the Lightwave, but as I said, can not contact them at all.

Gotcha, I figured if you were talking to builders you would be buying new. Good luck in your search!

I have bought , sold a number of cats and I think that's the wisest decision. This way, you won't be dealing with warranty issues, basic problems would have been resolved under warranty or not and still be a young boat at somewhat reduced price.

Good luck with yr search..

Cheers
