My mast is standing. I have an early 2015 model that has two shrouds on each side rather than one. They apparently switched to one per side later in the model year. I wondered if having one stay on either side with upper and lower diamond stays would be as strong. Do you know how your 450 was rigged?
So glad to hear that your 450 suffered relatively minor damage. Sounds like you were quite fortunate. I'm sure I've seen Pura Vida in the BVI.

I'm certain that my rig had a single shroud per side. I do know that she was stored aft to windward, which I assume may have increased the likelihood of losing the rig.

I heard from Z Spars today. They're extremely busy due to Irma, but said they'll circle back in a few days. Completely understandable. I'll ask about the twin shroud v single rig when I have the opportunity.

Being new to sail bots, approx. what would a rig like this cost? 30k? $40k? More? Once insurance surveyor/ assessor totals my boat, I'll be crunching the #'s to see if it's worth bringing back.
Sorry to learn of your loss, LLizard. I'll shoot you a PM once I hear from Z Spars.

I can't comment on the Mast and Boom, but replacing the entire Standing rigging, (All Shrouds and Stays you list plus the one over the front), just cost me 8500 Euro in Marmaris. Hope thats usefull.

Re: Lagoon 450 Mast/Rig - Irma Damage

Hello everyone.
I am looking to acquire a new lagoon 450 from 2016 without mat and sails / deck hardware for use in power catamaran and arrange it as I wish.
Preferably a proprietary version whose submerged parts have not been damaged.
I have some information about a 450f of 2016 for sale around Annapolis in the United States that would be called MISS KITTY which I seek to directly contact the owner. (Photo attached).
If someone knows him and wants to invite him to contact me or send me his contact information, it would be very friendly of him.
This is my first forum and may not be very effective, I invite anyone who deems it appropriate to relay my search lagoon 450.
good to you all.
best regards.

If the hull and bulkheads are in good shape, have you considered perhaps motoring to a spot in the states to for a new mast/rigging? I get that fuel isn't free and it's a headache to deal with, but at least you wouldn't be waiting on shipping to the islands or the local post-covid labor pool to recover at that point.
