I have a price list, if anyone is interested.

Base price for 4 cabin/4 head is $365,287
Base price for 3 cabin/3 head is $358,611

Prepackaged equipment configuration adds about $25,000 and then other options as listed.

Just FYI, My husband and I meticulously went through the price list, and only selected the minimum we would want on the boat, and our price ended up being $545,000.

Conversely, we got the pricelist for the new FP40 and compared... Building that out as closely to the same specs, and the FP40 came in $100,000 less, and with better features. I'm not sure why such a big price difference....

I must have a different price list. The base price for a four cabin version on my pricelist is $348,464 and for a 3 cabin version is $341,500.
I priced one out with all kinds of options including but not limited to the large essential equipment group, generator, cockpit fridge, upgraded engine, folding props, inverter, full air conditioning, water maker, Electric toilets, dinghy and outboard just to name the big items my total came out to $485,000. In June when I priced out the FP 40 the total price came out to approximately $470,000.
Now this does not include delivery, dealer prep and taxes which I understand can be a approximately $40,000 or so for either brand.
It should also be noted that the lagoon 42 is approximately 3 feet longer and 4feet wider according to the specs on their respective websites. I'm not saying this is better or worse I'm just saying the 42 is a bigger boat for not that much more money

Forgot to mention that the price also included the hardtop composite Bimini at $7600

Re: Lagoon 42

Maybe the price lists are USD/EUD...
And yes a couple of feet increases costs exponentially. Approximate sail away, well speced prices for lagoons in EUD with no tax paid, ex factory, are something along the line of
L380 240K
L39 270K
L400 320K
L42 440K
L450 500K
I'm guessing the last couple but that would be pretty well equipped (cruising pack, elec winches, upgraded engines, AIS, radar, folding props etc) but without some of the big ticket items such as genset, aircon, solar and WM.

Me too. It would be interesting to exchange those lists . The quote on the FP 40 I got in June was a formal quote from a US dealer. I doubt they've lowered prices

Re: Lagoon 42

Thanks Rajsach for the pictures ! I am there tomorrow and the day after myself, flying out tomorrow. What do y'all think of the bridgedeck clearance - is that enough, how is it compared to the 450/400, on Raj's pic it looks a bit close to the waterline. I wonder how she feels and looks in spatial terms tomorrow - one thing that becomes clear from the pictures is that the hulls are definitely significantly wider than the 390/400. Raj - if you are US, you don't need to pay EU Vat taxes by the way.

Re: Lagoon 42

Looks good. Bridgedeck clearance looks ok if she floats under the transom and bow. The antifoul appears to be 4-6" higher than the waterline. Yes the hulls look wide from the internal berth views, fore and aft are huge! The cockpit and helm looks very nice as well,me specially the teak deck and transom steps ala L52

Rounded corners and a proper top-loading freezer. I hope this is a new trend.

+1 on the rounded corners. I think the top loading freezer is an option.

Yep, those are definite improvements. The top loading freezer seems to be properly insulated, unlike the inefficient, poor quality and expensive Vitrifrigo chest freezer, factory fitted to our L400.
Another improvement seems to be the davit system. A clear copy of the Leopard system; I hope it is similarly constructed and works as well as the ones I've used one those boats.
Hope the weight and rig design don't penalise performance too much.

Re: Lagoon 42

Spoke to a few dealers at the Annapolis show about the 42. They think that the out the door price will be very close to the 45. If that is the case, if you can afford that much, they feel that most can pony up the extra to get the 45. Be interesting to see how that turns out.
