congratulations
I have been in
Grenada for the last several years during
hurricane season...it's a good place to be and it has a very active cruising community...cruising net is at 7:30am on Ch 66.
I had an
Island Packet 350 and took it back to
Florida and
sold it about a year ago...then bought a L410 S2 owner's edition last November in
Martinique (Le Marin)....took it to St Maartin and then to Grenada...then took visiting friends from Grenada to
Martinique and back to Grenada a couple of times. Everybody is surprised at how well the cat handles even in high winds and seas and how comfortable it is. Selling the
Island Packet and
buying a cat was a good move for me...and I think you'll be happy sailing your
Lipari. Cats are fast and comfortable...and my girlfriend loves this cat. And we do not reef until 22+kts.
I'm in Mt Hartman Bay (Secret Harbor)...the first cat you see on the left side of the harbor as you enter. Good cruising.
I notice people saying that you'll be motoring a lot. But we only
motor going in and out of harbors and on the lee side of the large islands...windshadow effect.
