Changing out the bellows on a Sillette Drive Leg

Has anyone had to replace the bellows on a Sillette Drive Leg? This Drive leg is on a 2004 Gemini 105? Does the process include removing the entire Leg, or is there a more efficient process?

yes the lower leg section and yoke needs to be removed from the transom bracket

you have to remove the 2 pins on either side of the yoke.
the grub screws are imperial i if i remember correctly 1/8" allen key
gentle heating will help if they do not come out freely.
the leg then will pull off once the hose clamps are loosened.
drain oil first from the leg.

spare parts available from here https://www.sillette.co.uk/

here is a you tube link of the process.

Re: Changing out the bellows on a Sillette Drive Leg

Just took mine off yesterday. Atoll is absolutely correct. The pins were siezed (both set screws and one of the tilt pins). It took more than gentle heat there (welding torch) but got them out with no damage. My leg is 35 years old though.

One tip: when re-assembling use never-seize on the set screws and any pins that don’t have grease flowing to them.

If nothing is seized, removal is pretty easy.

Oh, my tilt pins have a bit of a shoulder that only allows them to be driven in or out in one direction. If they dont come out with some gentle persuasion, try going the opposite direction.
