Back in the drink,

Well after 7 years of stress and worry,
My little Gemini 105MC is about to go back in the water,
5 years with an incompetant Repairer, I could still put my hand in the holes in the hulls,
I finally sued him to get my boat back, Cost me 25 Grand, which I will never see again,
I can put the court decision on paper up here to back this statement of fact as well if I need too,

Then a year with a good repairer and then a year putting all the gear, Pumps wiring, hoses, electrics, batterys, Watermaker, Solar panels, Hammock, All new ropes, Led lighting, Generator, and every thing thing else that was missing out of it, Back in it, Most is brand new,

I couldnt do any thing till the inner floors went back in it,
When the salvagers cut the inner floors out to get inside the hulls, They just cut all the wiring, Hoses, Etc Etc out,

I was left with a bundle of hoses and wiring that went thru the hulls, Duhhh, Fibreglassed in and I had no idea where they went or what they did,

It took time, But I finally got it all happening,
Diesel and out board havent been started in 7 years,
I got both of them running again great,
Youtube tutorials are some thing else, Crash course in learning,
Learnt a lot, reading on here as well, and the odd question,
I have my wet berth Booked at Yaringa,
ill have the truck to move it booked this week,
Got my insurance paid today,

My Dinghy fell apart, So I have to buy a new one, Dinghy repair crowd here said my dinghy was an excellent dinghy made in France, They dont make them like that any more,
But a grand to glue it back together again, versus a Grand for a new one, I will buy a new dinghy,
The floor is fibreglass and the tubes are great, But the glue died of old age,
18 years, Well its bound to happen, hahaha

Once I truck it to the Marine and put it on stands, I will stand the mast again,
Then the travel lift can put it back in the water again,
The mast needs new ropes, I have new ropes ready, I bought 100 metre rolls of it very cheaply, Double braid polyester, Ive done the boom allready,
Its all packed up ready to go,
5 kays on the truck to the marina, Whoop Whoop,

And a few few piccys here of my progress over the 7 years,

Hind sight, I should have taken the insurance money and bought another boat the same as this one, There was another one for sale in San Deago at the time with all the bells and whistles on it as well, Same price,

With 3000 Nmiles under my belt with this one, Yep, I would have sailed it home across the Pacific, no problem at all,
Considering I couldnt sail when I bought this one in Fiji,
another crash course, How to sail a Yacht.
6 weeks later, I sailed it home to Australia single handed, Im a quick learner, Hahhaha

Plan B, Hire a Captain to sail it home for me and learn on the way,
Plan C, Drive it home at 7 knots on the diesel, Easy Peasy,
Almost home when it go chucked up onto a rocky beach while at anchor in a very violent storm that flattened Port Stephens, November, 2011,

But I didnt know I was going to get stitched up with a dud repairer,
Who promised to have it finished in a year, Nov 2012,
He was also paid half the costs of the repair upfront,
Thats water under the bridge now,

I will be sailing again in less than a month,
The new name of my boat is the, MR B,

Wow, seven years - it only seems like yesterday when we first heard from you - time does indeed fly by.

One positive - you now know your boat inside out, there can be no surprises with stuff in the future.

Geez mate, you've been through the wringer. I've seen some of your posts on this but missed the original, I think.

Its moving on Tuesday, By truck, Whoop, Whoop,
Crane Truck booked for lifting the mast Thursday or Friday,

It should be in the water again in a week or so,
1/4 of the Marina's Wet Berths are missing due to new walkways and floating decks being replaced,
But finally, its all happening now,

Westmarine in the USA have informed me my Dinghy is PVC and can be repaired with two part PVC glue, Made specifically for Dinghys, ,
They sold it to the PO in 2003,
Hows that for after sales service, Im Impressed,
I might have a go at repairing it myself now,

Im actually starting to get excited about it, I can see an end to my endeavours,

Pictures are of my last move to where I am parked now,
Thought I would chuck a piccy in of my Bike as well, Honda, Blackbird, 1100XX,
Im Old, Not Slow,
It was a great help to keep my mind off my Boat repairs,

Its on the Truck ready to be moved today to the Yaringa Marina,
Western Port Bay, Victoria Australia,
Couple of days on the hard to stand the mast and then it will be put back in the water with the Travel lift,

New 10 foot dinghy I look like buying, Fibreglass,
Crocs and Inflatables dont go together, hahaha

The move went well, I am very pleased with it,
I didnt think this day would ever come,

Bit of a worry on the dirt road, The boat was jumping up and down,
But the driver was going very slowly,
Just made the tree and a big branch hanging down,
The Solar Panels got a good work out as they are on a flexible support and swing sideways, Quite violently, But held up allright,
My boat is now sitting on 4 steel supports at the Marina waiting for the mast to be stood up,
It dont look so lonely sitting amongst other boats on the hard,
It no longer looks small either, as the boats all around it are nearly the same size,
Crane truck may be in on Friday to stand the mast,
They are replacing the berths and walkways in the Marina,

Monday, The 20 metre Crane truck will stand the mast and then it can go back in the water next week,
Its all booked,
Its all ready to go,

Had a rear mounted Crane truck in today and I stood the mast up,
My Cat is now fully rigged and ready to put in the water,
I even had time to put the boom back on, Did that by hand,
Its my first time I ever rigged a boat,
Its standing vertical and central sideways,
But looking at the photo's, I think the top of the mast needs to go forwards about a foot,
Tomorrows effort,

It will be launched, Wednesday at Noon or shortly after,
Im very pleased with my work on it,
