delivery or a leisurely
cruise?
If a
delivery, there really is only one typical schedule, leave North America in spring (and from
Vancouver that means watching carefully for the right
weather windows) so as to reach 10N or thereabouts before June and the beginning of the
hurricane season in the eastern
North Pacific. Cross over the Equator sometime around June, then
head for
Auckland to arrive by end of October to avoid
hurricane season in the
South Pacific. You're looking at 6-7K miles if you go pretty direct. How long that takes depends on what kind of
boat you have.
