Valiant 40 centerboard -how rare?

Anybody have an idea about how many Valiant 40's were produced with a centerboard? I see two currently available on YW (blister era), but this might be a fluke of the times.

I like the CB since my home port is shallow GSB, Long Island. I don't really want to switch boats yet (more like in 4-6 years), but will consider it if CB V40's are very rarely available.

CB Valiant 40's are very rare. I think they built two of them.

wow thats rare the ony thing that would make that more rare is if they only built one so id say its quite rare so now the question is why only 2

Don't know. It just seemed that the people who were interested in Valiants had no problem with 6'2" draft regardless of where they lived.

Thanks for the response. I have to think about this one. Was the CB a worse performer (harder to balance)? I may convince myself to suck it up, and just time my bay departures with high tide.

Would you suggest adding a bowsprit to the V40?
