That is an interesting (good looking) interior. I like good use of wood.

The wood in this case has an unusual pattern in the veneer. Is there a name for this wood styling (manufacturers name for it)?

I like the warm look too.

What would I do if it were my boat? I would add some artwork on that bulkhead and put some color in the space too….but then…that is something I assume you will get to eventually.

Given the "new boat" look, it looks nice. Especially for a boat of this size range (re: the topic of this thread).

I wanted to ask about your salon table removal - it looks like you don't have one any longer. Do you miss it?

I hate the space it takes up and am thinking to do a removable one I can store when not in use.

We decided to take ours out completely because it took up way too much space and was fairly impractical. We do not miss it at all, we have a folding adjustable height table that we can use inside or in the cockpit, it folds flat and fits perfectly in to one of our cockpit lockers. We bought ours at ACE for $40. We also made an the seat for the desk that doubles as an ottoman/coffee table/storage. I will have to add some pics of that later.

Hey Tarka, table looks good! We are in Statia at the moment but headed off in the next two weeks. When are you back down this way?

That's very pretty. Interesting choice to align the grain horizontally. You don't see that much. I think it's a good choice in this case.

Thanks Bart - I like the fold down table idea. Not sure I can implement on my boat as I am taking out the bulkheads so the V-berth doesn't feel so much like a closet.

I am also hoping to end up with a settee like yours - shortening up the seat bottom and creating storage behind.

It definitely needs a unicorn painted on the main bulkhead.. and maybe some of these dangling around....

Modern bright interiors like Varuna's are awesome. It so takes the "cave like" atmosphere away. Now in the frozen north one may need a warm snuggly cave. Here in the tropics I'll take bright and lively.

The color mixing/contrasting was tremendous - I only hope I can get mine looking half as pretty.

This is why I love the interiors from the European manufacturers like RM... modern and crisp with a more apartment/cottage feel.

I do think your Maxi would do great with a rear head and linear galley on port. Make the settee on the starboard side extra long. Something similar to the Dragonfly 35 trimaran.
