Roberts Mauritius 43

Hi all
This is my first post so I hope I get this right.
I am looking for information on the Mauritius 43.
My question is how do I tell if the sloop rigged boat I am looking at has the mast in the correct position.
I believe the boat was built as a ketch however is sloop rigged.
Is it possible to tell from a simple measurement from the bow for instance.
Thanks in advance.
Col

Re: Roberts Mauritius 43

Greetings and welcome aboard the CF, Col.

In a typical masthead sloop the mast is often around station 4 (waterline divided into 10 equal stations with zero at the stem/waterline intersection). In a 7/8ths fractional sloop the mast is about at station 3; but, in fact, it’s really the balance of CE/CLP that matters.

Or, better yet, ask Bruce ➥ http://www.bruceroberts.com/public/HTML/CONTACT.htm
