Question for C&C historians

I have my eye on a 1982 25-2.
It's in great shape, but this boat has an extra port forward of the salon port. I can't find any 25 with that extra port. I noticed that the 24 has it, but the main port on the 24 is shaped in a rectangle, whereas this 25 has the more modern, European thing.
Was this port added later, or am I missing something? Has nothing to do with my decision to purchase. Its just got me a little curious. The boat is being sold by a broker, and so far I haven't spoken to the owner to find out if he or she added it.

yeah, I have spent a lot of time there, but it won't let me register. When I try to, it says me email is already in use. When I try to log in, it says my email is not registered...sailors, whaddaya gonna do?
