Ocenis 38.1 vs 40.1 vs 41.1

What is the main difference among Beneteau Ocenis 38.1, 40.1, and 41.1. I find it strange to have these three while a 40ft could more profitably cover that range of specs.

The 40.1 is new. I’m actually surprised that it’s not called a 42 (42.1?). Check out the length of all three in their specs. It’ll be interesting to see if they phase out the 41.1. It’s not uncommon for Beneteau to have product overlap as they bring on new or updated designs and eventually phase out something else. I own a 38.1 and like it a lot. Of the three though, I prefer the 41.1. I’m not wild about the new layout on the 40.1, which is one of the range’s new features. All three have pretty similar hull designs.

Yeah, I've noticed that the 40.1 is actually 42 ft. They'll probaby phase out 41.1 in time, so 42.1 will be right btw 38.1 and 46.1. Maybe they have plenty of 41.1 in the inventory, so they probably didn't want the new one effect the sales. I bet when 41.1 phases out, 40.1 will be rebranded as 42.1 with a few upgrades... Strange.
