Hello there... I am the proud owner of a 1984 NM 454, and I love it. I delivered several sailboats to the Mayan riviera and the NM is the best for cruising for the size and the room and draft, and most important dollar/foot price... I will post some info and mods that I have made on mine, over the weekend.

Has yours been repowered. I can only afford this boat if I keep the original 32 hp Universal engine and still be able to ado what I would consider essential for easy living like a diesel genset, watermaker, dingy w motor, davits,etc.
Will the transmission/v-drive accept a bigger engine. My last boat was 7 feet shorter with 45hp. I did not think it was over powered when making headway into 3 knot winds and seas. The other NM''s sold recentlyhad significantly larger engines.
