42' Maple Leaf
Hey there Lesmusic!
We are spending the weekend on the boat this weekend! Lots of work to do and fun to have by all. We are buying all the electronics this week (big difference on prices for the exact same!) pays to shop around. We saved almost enough to pay for the professional installation!
Soon we will be designing and installing a the new name WINDFALL to place aft.
It's a great boat for sure and we are very fortunate to have it. Have you checked out the boat MUSIC at the yard by the dock? It may be worth your time.
See ya out on the water!
Sam & Nancy

Going, going, gone!
Been away from the board for a bit but that's about to change. We're going sailing! After a blurred 6mnths of none stop activity the task list is down to packing the car, 86ing Denver and Tacoma, and the PNW or bust. I'ld really like to chat with you other Maple Leaf owners over the coming months as we'll be living aboard for the next few years.

Maple Leaf 42
The sailing has been great here in Portland, OR! We plan to move aboard "Windfall" this October and take off on our "world tour" in just 24 months! Yea! We are excited to say the least. Ha The boat has been great, solid, and sails wonderfully.

Lats & Atts Party in Port Townsend, WA
Hey Merlinslave,
Latitudes & Attitudes magazine is having their pacific northwest cruisers party August 9 at Port Townsend. We went to the party last year and had a blast! Are you now moored in Tacoma on a 42' Maple Leaf? We are moving aboard our 42' this October here in Portland, OR. We are now working on "the list" of chores, but have made about $50K improvements - complete new wiring throughout, new electronics, haulout, engine room remodel, etc...
Going sailing on the Columbia River today...Arrrrrrrrr! Ha

Aparrotwind, this is Happy Sailor, previously Merlinslave. Got out of Denver in the first of Aug. and spent the last two months in Tacoma. We're now in Snug Cove on Bowen Is., B.C. for the winter. We'ld planned on making the Port Townsend Festival but as it turned out I had to return to Denver for the closing on the house we had on the market. Any way we'll be in touch.

The "HAPPY CAMPER''
Aparrot', running away so soon? I guess you living up here in your past life your done with it but we can't wait for the wild and wooly NW. I (we) spent plenty of time south and not that we won't be there again but we thought that starting up here was easier then beating our way up here by water. Also we're very into the whole skiing and mountain thing still. I figure three yrs up here then south and you know how fast time flies when your having fun. On that note, "Stillrainign", I don't know about Aparrot' but don't be fooled, between the typical chains that keep us shore bound and looking for the girl that wanted to do this and I liked enough to live with in 200sqft 24/7 it's been lets see 20yrs coming. Funny thing though is that now that it's happened the time is like smoke in the wind. Hang in there!

Hi Happy - Hope to be running away as fast as possible! Ha We have an "open Boat" for friends and family to see our new "floating home" next weekend. We too love the mountains, and snow shoe on Mt Hood when we're not diving the "warm" waters of the PNW. Ha Just got Hi-Def TV cable aboard for when relaxing...just now sure when the relaxing part will begin! Ha So much to do and the time just goes so quickly. We just love our 42 Maple Leaf with it's openness below. We'll keep hangin'

Hey Esk! spent some time in Mexico and New Mexico (new grand daughter!) and now we are in Florida soaking up the sun for another week. We have WIndfall on the hard hoving some weather electonics put on and new centerboard installed. Is your boat still in Newport? We would love to stop by and see her someday this summer.
