Looking for 40-ish CC

I'm asking for a bit of help from the community: my wife and I are looking for a CC in the 38 to 40- foot range. I came across a really interesting boat with an aft cabin that's only accessible from the cockpit, i.e. no walk-thru from the main saloon. My problem is that I cannot recall the make of the boat and can't find it on yachtworld. Does anyone know what it might be?? Thank you!

Re: Looking for 40-ish CC

There was one advertised in Fiji the other day (I think it was Fiji but if not one of the islands) the couple had done a few circumnavigations and were on their last trip before retiring. Seemed like a good deal except I’m looking for one that is walk through. I think they wanted 80’s for it.

Could be a Van De Stadt design. A phoenix maybe?

Are you still looking?
Where are you?
There’s a 12m Westerly Oceanlord that’s for sale in Ouistreham, Normandy. It’s a cc with aft two-bunk walk-thru to the ‘owner’s suite’ complete with lockers, hanging locker, two seater sofa and en-suite heads. Lots of teak throughout below. It’s a classic hand-made world cruiser - radar, wind gen, solar panels, sonic anti-foul etc.

Thanks Geoff, I’m in Australia. Unfortunately waiting for finance to free (probably just after Christmas) up but in the mean time I’m doing a lot of looking (not at the actual boats) on the net. I’m other words getting feel for what’s there and costs. So I’ll see if I can find the Westerly.

The boat the op was looking for is/was on boats.com in Fiji.

Travelled around France two years ago in a car and caravan. Would love to go back there as it’s a beautiful place. Contrary to what we heard the people were really friendly.

I’ve never had a problem with the French - they’re a proud people which some misinterpret for arrogance or unfriendliness. I’m perhaps fortunate inasmuch as I speak the language with a degree of fluency that both surprises and delights French people I meet, but enough grandstanding! I hope you find a good boat.

Kelly Peterson 44 ?

It does have a “crawl space” between the two.. but perhaps easily missed due to its size?
