Liberty 49's

What can anyone tell me about these boats? I know they're 80's models, few available....but man I like the look of these blue water cruisers. Pros/cons? What would anyone consider a more recent equivalent boat....if any? Thanks.

Can any one tell me if they have replaced a top main furler bearing on a Liberty 49 please. TO me it looks like i will have to take out the mast. ANy Ideas folks.
