Re: Hardin Voyager 45 ( 44 & Bounty )

The Hull number would be listed on your documentation, state registration, brass placard above midships access to galley and in the hull glass a couple feet forward of the stern on the starboard side below rub rail. We have a 1981 hull #99. When we bought it both the docs and registration said only 99 as the number. We had to take pictures and rubbings to change this inaccuracy for the Coast Guard, TWICE! Nine months later we had proper paper work. After that our state would finally give us a registration/license. Maybe your dealer will help, ours didn't, along with the bank release the previous owner got a personal loan against, shady but years in the past. The number will have about one dozen letters and numbers in it. If I can be of any more help with your boat let me know or pm me a phone number and I'll give you a call. fair winds

Re: Hardin Voyager 45 ( 44 & Bounty )

Our Hardin 44 Voyager was made in 1978 and is hull #36. Her name is "There and Back Again". We are cruising the NW this summer and headed to San Diego in August. The hull number was not engraved/embedded on the outside of the hull of this boat. Located on a brass plate above the port side passage to the lower galley area.

G'Day Gailforce,

This is an old thread. If you don't get a response here, try a direct PM to CSYman, for that will better get his attention... and welcome to CF.

Re: Hardin Voyager 45 ( 44 & Bounty )

We have Hardin 45 hull #122, built in 1982. We have been sailing her for 24 years now and have cruised from California to Hawaii, to Midway Atoll, to Alaska, Canada, Mexico, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Panama, Ecuador, Galapagos, thru the Panama Canal to Colombia, Aruba, Curacao, Bonaire, Venezuala, Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, and back to San Francisco Bay.

In the course of that cruising, we have sailed the boat 47,000 miles. We love the boat and have never considered selling it and going to another boat.

We had to replace the original Ford Lehman with a Perkins M90 in 1998.

Re: Hardin Voyager 45 ( 44 & Bounty )

Hello,

I used to live, 2000 to 2006 on a Hardin Voyager 44 1977 that was called Malaga, my dad changed it to Marushka. We sold it from Bellingham Washington. Didn't know if anyone knew if there was a way to see where the boat may be now? Been searching online with no luck. Just curious. It had 3 solar panels and a wind generator on it.

Any ideas? Loved the slow but comfy sailboat!!

Cheers

Re: Hardin Voyager 45 ( 44 & Bounty )

Baldwincorp..
We bought her in Olympia in 2011. The previous owner renamed her to Unleashed. In 2013 we sailed her to Mexico where we have been cruising since 2013. We do not know the hull number. The brass plate is missing and there is not a number on the hull and maybe there never was from Paul Beyer's post above but the hull number must be less than 36. The number on the registration is some number that WA made up.
