Speaking of 3M and restoring...they do make polishes and sandpapers all the way up to 3000 "grit" and knowing which one(s) to use makes a huge difference in the job. If there's any way to get an experienced
marine or auto body man out to the
boat to see it, that's probably worth doing. If not, find a local auto body shop supplier (not an auto chain store) and do your best to bring in some photos and description. They may even know someone who can
work with you on it, if you aren;lt intimate with refinishing and want to some up to speed quickly.
