Gel Coat Question and info on a 33 Heritage West Indies

I just went and looked at a 33 Heritage West Indies, The deck has very thin cracks in the gel coat. How hard is it to fill and cover those when she is painted. Bottom is good just the deck needs paint.
She is a classic Charles Morgan designed sloop that is one of only four built in this length. Her hull was built in '79 and she was custom finished and commissioned in Tampa by Heritage Yachts in '85.
Also this will be my new home possibly. Any cons I should know about would be great. Good blue water boat???? ect....
