Domestic Disturbance boats...

Hi all, as we have threads about the boats in Open Water 2 and Dead Calm, just the other day I saw that movie Domestic Disturbance. John Travolta plays a boat builder that still makes these gorgeous all wood monohull sailboats.

Was curious if anyone knows who's boats those are?? They are just gorgeous and would love to look into them if possible??

Thanks for all of your input and efforts!!

Hollywood location managers are generally pretty frugal with set dressings like boats and such and will scout local resources. That movie was filmed in North Carolina so the boat designer/builder is probably local. Sometimes the Internet Movie Database (Domestic Disturbance (2001)) will give you details like that but not this time. I remember the conversation we had about the boat Gibbs was building in his basement on NCIS and as it turned out it was a Glen-L design which just happened to be a few blocks from the filming location.

These guys are up in Beaufort (a couple of hours north of Wilmington) and created some beautiful small wooden sailboats. Could these be the ones you're looking for?

Bennett Brothers?

The Bennett Brothers Yard in Wilmington N.C. used to build beautiful custom boats. We used to haul our boat there and I know Travolta was in Wilmington filming a movie one time when we were there. Don't know if it was that movie.

It's been my experience that boats are a major source of domestic disturbance.
