Hello all,
Some misinformation here.
The
beneteau 36cc was only available with one keel design I believe.
The exact draft varies depending upon the amount of of stores, how equipped, amount of fuel , water etc.
After many years, including multiple measurements
on the hard and by means sounding lead( very useful in the event of grounding to determine the best course to deeper water) as well dual electronic sounding systems the true draft is very clear.
The 36CC should not be confused with other beneteaus, of which many did have optional keels.
Mine measured very close to 4’9”dry although dry included a
fisher panda genset ( about 500lbs. estimated, installed;
exhaust system, fuel system,
electrical and controls) and Aircon installed in the
engine compartment.
The only way the rudder could have a deeper draft than the keel would be absurd trimming when afloat or incorrectly blocking
on the hard.
The rudder appears to have have possibly 5” less draft than keel, that said, I don’t have exact measurements but have observed it many times due to my policy of hauling at least every other year to renew
anti fouling etc. Also many pictures of the above have been accumulated over the years.
5’2” keel draft was only possible when fully provisioned, and I do mean fully, for
extended cruising.
Sorry, I don’t have a figure for the air draft without the mast, in my case the stern arch would be the controlling factor. The figure could be approximately arrived at by means of scaling of the profile. Sailboat data possibly?
Best of luck in all things to all !
