Question Australian Compass 28 or Northern 28?

There's a boat listed for sale as an Australian Compass 28 but I am thinking maybe it is not, but maybe a Northern 28. If you know these boats, what do you think?

COMPASS 28 boat details - BoatPoint Australia

Here is a typical Compass 28:

COMPASS 28 boat details - BoatPoint Australia

The typical Compass 28 has two big and two small windows. The coach roof drops down over the two small windows. The cabin doorway has no sliding hatch over it.

The boat in the advert has the same characteristics as I have seen on a Northern 28: three windows, basically flat coach roof, sliding hatch. Also, notice the picture of the cabin door, half of it is taken up with a switchboard and guages which I think is like the N28 which I am sure had a seriously big permanent washboard there.

Northern 28 yachts were made previous to the Compass 28 and the N28 coachroof was changed but the hull remained the same to make the C28.

The advert says the year of manufacture is 1981 but the last of the N28s was about 1972 or so which means if it was indeed made in 1982 it is not likely to be a N28. But it don't look like a Compass 28.

What do you think?

Northerner! Never seen a Compass 28 with that cabin style. Either way, if it is a good boat it will sail the same. Great little sea boats they are.
