Re: Advice on a Cheoy Lee Please
I know many will cringe, but you could 'glass the deck & paint it. Long as the glue joints are OK, the mast shouldn't be a deal breaker if you don't mind varnishing it periodically.

Re: Advice on a Cheoy Lee Please
still on my hit list and as soon as SO can drag herself away from her studies we'll be going down there. Long trip for us but I'm confident if the hull is sound and they accept my offer I will be sorted soon.

I am interested in this boat. Does anyone have any personal experience of them and also the marina it is being sold at?
I know many will see the teak deck as a major downer but for me it is a major draw and I will plenty of time to look after it.
I will be offering cash but not as much as the sale price and will hopefully get down there to look in a week or two.
Your comments, as usual will be greatly appreciated.
(I emailed the marina last week and the boat has a full compliment of good sails and mast etc.)

Did you go look at it yet?

Re: Advice on a Cheoy Lee Please
I was about to buy the same boat in Savannah until I saw this listing in NC - newer and less expensive. I assume you are not buying it for some reason and if you would share that I would appreciate it. Thanks.

Re: Advice on a Cheoy Lee Please
Did you have difficulty removing any glue under the teak when it was removed or cleaning up the fiberglass before re-installing the teak?
