What a sweet little boat! After the initial outlay she would make a perfect little low budget cruiser. Oh, I also just got over my fear of the colour yellow!

I was just looking at one for sale in Guaymas/San Carlos (Sea of Cortez) for 15K, and I must say it looks like a better layout than the Benford 30 (Callisto)we owned while we were in Juneau.

Do you participate in the SEAsailing events in Juneau? The Around Admiralty race is a good opportunity to see what your boat will do in semi-offshore conditions. We found the Benford's beamy Friendship-sloop-knockoff hull to be a slug pounding to windward in the 25kts and 4-5' chop around Juneau, but she could take a licking. OTOH, if hadn't had a big gennaker we wouldn't have been able to go anywhere but backwards some days.
