Re: 2.4 MILLION YACHT AGROUND AND DISMASTED..
There's a green can just a few hundred yards away from those rocks, specifically to guide boats away from them.

Re: 2.4 MILLION YACHT AGROUND AND DISMASTED..
It's a drifting time, people fascinated with screens,
No idea what's on the other side.
We stare at doom like an uptight groom,
And live our lives like a drunken bride. -Greg Brown
What the electronics did not stop this from happening? I'm shocked, shocked I tell you.

Human eyes. No substitute for them.
A 70 ft yacht with no lookout or watch? On rocks in daylight to boot! Tsk Tsk!

Maybe he was using the wrong charts! <..."are these depth contours in feet, fathoms or in meters?...don't ask me...it was your idea to buy these charts from Walmart's blue light special"...>

Only thing worse than sailing your boat onto the rocks is when you are paying someone else who does it.

That rock was placed there by a towing/salvage company!

They transited the area at high tide at which time the rocks were about 5' below the surface. The photos are from when the tide went out which is 8 ft. lower than high. The boat was floated off last night and towed to a local yard.
It is thought that they hit the rocks that are NE of East Goose Rock.
