Reason # ?
If you pull into a shallow anchorage and you depth isn't working when you jump into the clear blue you don't twist your ankle from it being 4 feet deep.

Well all you sailing guys seem to be playing so well together I just thought that I would suggest another viewpoint.

Reasons why a power boat is better than a sailboat:

#1: A power boat can go straight to where you want to go without going somewhere else first.
#2: And MUCH faster too -

But I have to confess that I took the photo on a power cat; without doubt a power mono would be much faster .

We don't care.
Don't tell Joli this or he'll freak

Wound up? Who gets wound up? Not me! I never get wound up!!!!! NEVER!!! I have a multihull, and I am calm. CALM I TELL YOU!!!! Oh, wait, I also have a mono. Hmmmmmm... I am soooo confused
It's all in fun. People used to tell me I shouldn't have more than one boat because I could only sail one at a time. I showed them Now I sail three at the same time!

My wife says that and she's wrong as well
Mind you I do have a few boats but I have downsized the fleet by 4 in the last 2 years.

"No Dear, I do not have too many boats. Just like your 879 pairs of shoes, I also have a boat for each occasion"

You've lost me there, KK??, I've never had it in Kota Kinnabalu, or is there some other KK or have I misinterpreted somewhere.

I've been into the scum you see, so a touch bleary.

Dave

Great name Dave….. but I swear I remember meeting a Dave on a boat in KK called Cat-man-do… then again I was drinking my own “Flotsam and Jetsam” at the time….so could easily have been mistaken

Well….if the next “Great Depression” is just around the corner and Law and Order in CreditLand collapses….. You may need to fill your Ark with tradable items, Guns, RPG’s, plenty of ammo and some good breeding stock....then sail away to a safe haven on a remote Pacific island.

#280…Monos will carry a much bigger payload.

#281…It will have toughen up the breeding stock by the time you reach that Island....

I don't know Pelagic. Of all the boats on Water World, I would choose the trimaran Of course, maybe I am thinking far more apocolyptic than most Then again, going back to some of Captain K's posts. if you have a mono, you can tow a barge for all those necessities
