Single Sailorwoman sixtyish? Here's a Captain and a Cruise.

Hello to all you single women sailors! My name is Rob, a very young 68 Y.O., 5' 8" tall, in great shape, intelligent, and fun. I'd love to meet a woman who enjoys sailing too. Hope we'll hit it off. It would be great to find a long-term partner. I've been cruising my 53' cutter, sometimes singlehanded, for the last 6 years since my early retirement. Having a great time but I would love some companionship. If we meet I'm sure you'll find me a great guy. The boat's pretty nice too. LOL

Who am I looking for? Someone fit enough to do offshore passages, bright and fun, around 60 to 68 Y.O. Sound like you? Let's get acquainted. I've spent the winter and spring through the virus closures in the Virgin Islands.
in Key west now. It would be great to find someone to sail back to the Caribbean with after hurricane season. There are all sorts of possible ports of call.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Re: Single Sailorwoman sixtyish? Here's a Captain and a Cruise.

Well sir I'm not a woman, if you can't find that woman to go cruising with I'll go, I'm highly mechanical fix just about anything, I have zero mileage underneath my belt and wanting to learn how to sell so I can buy my own boat cuz that's what I truly want to do is solo sailing, I if not necessarily looking for female companionship cuz I was very successful in my younger years at it and I found them to be nothing but trouble, so now that I'm just newly retired at 55, I want to do what I want to do learn how to sail and take off on my own journey which I want to circumnavigate the world wanted to ever since I was a child now this time is about me and getting it done so if you're not just looking for a woman to get to know there might be a friendship here anyways

Thank you Littlewing for sending Rob612 my way but I am still very much a sailing beginner, saying that being crew on 53' cutter would be the sort of sailing adventure I would love but first I would like to sail around the UK and also around Sweden. Thanks for the kind thought ..... :-)

Re: Single Sailorwoman sixtyish? Here's a Captain and a Cruise.

Hi Rob,

I'm Laura and have plenty of sailing experience....but a little rusty since I've lived here in NC. I am from Annapolis MD (25yrs) love sailing! I raced & Cruised up and down east coast and islands and obv. the Chesapeake Bay!... I worked directly for a performance cruising catamaran builder in the South of France in sales for over 5yrs. in Annaptown where I sailed the Med., worked with my clients with the construction of their yacht and totally enjoyed the position!!!
I would Like to talk to you if you are still interested in finding a woman to cruise with.
It would be interesting to compare notes!!

Re: Single Sailorwoman sixtyish? Here's a Captain and a Cruise.

Hi Rob,
Landlocked sailor who misses the ocean. Single woman, age 65, fit and active, living in the woods of Wisconsin. Wanted to take a trip to Florida anyway to escape the snow in December or January. Was going to "drive the keys." Have a brother who lives in LaBelle who I planned to visit. Could spend some time with you to see how it goes. i sailed a 40' Cat in Tortola in 2001. Used to own a Hobie and sailed on Lake Michigan. If curious, send me an email at garnet@lakefield.net.
