Crew Wanted: Novice Deckhand -- Virgin Islands to Florida

Looking for novice/amateur deckhand for delivery from Virgin Islands to Florida, leaving +/- Oct 10th. A US PASSPORT is MANDATORY for this trip. The boat is a 2012 Leopard PowerCat. A mechanical refit is wrapping up now, and a new suite of electronics will be in place for the trip. You’ll have private quarters and bunk.

This is a volunteer position, great for mile-building and logging seatime. Boat expenses & provisions covered. Likely reimbursement for travel, possibly a modest completion bonus depending on performance. Expect 6 to 7 days underway.

Some boating experience is required, and offshore experience is preferred. This is a commercial delivery -- the boat runs 24/7 except for one fuel stop. You’ll be 1 of 3 crew, standing solo watches day and night (with immediate support if needed), and sharing equally in nearly all duties. Experienced Captain and Mate both hold USCG 100-ton licenses.

Smoking, vaping, and alcohol are not allowed on the boat. We hit the bar after landfall if you’re inclined to join. Please send your CV/resume if you’d like to know more.

1) The weather that just rolled through has delayed departure by a few days. Maybe the 13th or 14th now.

2) Received many PMs from folks wanting that think we're sailing. This is not a sailboat, it's noisy and it stinks.
