Crew Wanted: North America's largest solar boat needs a captain

The Isola Solaretto, North America's largest solar boat (& the world's FIRST solar dinner cruise & tour boat) is setting sail this June out of Charlottetown Harbour, Prince Edward Island, Canada, and we require 2-3 captains with their Limited Master 60 Ton or over to share 105 hrs/wk captaining the boat.

This 40', 45 passenger boat is powered by batteries charged by 6kW of solar panels on the roof which power a whisper quiet electric motor attached to a new Konrad stern drive. The boat also has a bow thruster for easy maneuverability in & out of the Charlottetown Marina and around the harbour (sheltered waters).

The boat has a full kitchen, bathroom, WiFi, TV's, sound system, swim deck, & more.

Responsibilities will include checking the vessel components prior to each tour, discussing a bit about our tour to the passengers about our trip, and closing up the ship at the end of the day. This is a NEW boat, so we hope to develop the list of duties at the beginning & end of the day with our new captains' input.

Anybody holding this class of license or higher and who is super cool, friendly and likes to deal with people will work.

We expect to have the boat in the water in May/June this year and operate until the end of October. Beginning in 2020 and beyond, we plan to take this heated boat to Halifax Harbour, Nova Scotia, from November - April after the summer season in Charlottetown so a full-time, year round position(s) will be available for those who don't mind the shuffle from PEI to NS every year.
