Hello!

My name is Danielle and I'm looking to gain more sailing experience. I'm new to sailing and have my ASA 101 Basic Keelboat Sailing certification. I've sailed two 10-day courses and feel comfortable on a boat, but I want to improve my skills to captain a boat for my birthday.

Ideally, I'd like to be on the water for up to two weeks a month. I'm looking for any and all opportunities to get better:

Are you taking the boat out for a day or two? Want crew? I'm in!
Looking to reposition your boat along the East Coast? I'm in!
Need help cleaning/taking care of the boat? I'm in!

Hi Danielle,
My husband, Mike and myself have purchased a sailboat in Seattle and are slowly sailing it down the Pacific Ocean to eventually dock in Daytona, Fl which is our home. We have recently retired. I am new to sailing and Mike was with the USNavy for 21 years. We have a 53 ft Phillip Rhodes steel blue water boat. It has 3 cabins, 2 heads, galley, etc.
As I am new, we are looking for additional crew to join us at any point during this sail (we hope to sail to Europe next summer and stay there for 6 mos or longer.
If you are in a position to fly and join the boat at any time, we are seeking additional crew members!
Currently the boat is in San Diego. We will be sailing to Mexico in August, stopping at various ports, then Costa Rica and through the Panama in Dec, then around the Carribbean in the new year.
Certainly if Daytona is not too far, we would be happy to have you onboard when we get to Florida.
