Re: Delivery Skipper: Qualified and Experienced, E & S Coast USA and Caribbean, Mexic

Hello. Next April, I'll be moving my boat from Worton Creek in Chestertown, MD to the North Shore of Long Island, NY. We are debating whether to have the boat trucked there or to sail her there. I'm in the process of gathering costs. What would it cost to hire a captain to deliver her to the new marina?

I look forward to your reply.

Good morning
Thank you for the message and for the question regarding ‘How much to move a boat’

Obviously the difference between trucking and sailing costs is very much down to ‘what size & type’ of boat you have.

I’d be very happy to talk through your options with you - I’ll send you a Private Message with my contact details

Thanks again

Re: Delivery Skipper: Qualified and Experienced, E & S Coast USA and Caribbean, Mexic

Hi captain,
I’m currently looking at my options to keep my lagoon 39 safe and away from hurricanes for obvious and insurance reasons. Ideally would like to crew along an experienced captain to register miles and gain experience as I am a new sailor. Boat is located in Guadeloupe and likely would be best down in Trinidad or Grenada.
Challenge really is on the logistics of such move with weather and Covid restrictions ever evolving.
What would be the best way to organize this and establish a price for the service that stays true to initial quote?
Looking forward to your response

With best regards
