Seychelles to Dubai in a Mahe 36

Hello,

I'm currently in the process of purchasing a mahe 36 in the Seychelles.

I live in Dubai and will eventually want to bring it back there after I'm done exploring the Seychelles.

Can anyone advise what's the best way to do this ? I'm relatively new to the sailing game.

Could I organise someone to ferry it back or would shipping it be a better idea ?

Sailing with a delivery crew would be the easiest and cheapest method. It is around 2000nm, mostly downwind with a bit if motoring thrown in, depending on the season. Basically all the charter boats arrived in the Seychelles on their own bottom with a delivery crew.

Just remember that most spares for sailboats are not available in Seychelles and need to be brought into the country by yourself.

Congrats on the purchase! Just a thought, rather take it to SE Asia and You could sail for years in the Andaman sea. And a stop over in Maldives is enticing too! Although you would probably need to go that far east (Maldives) anyway to avoid the north east coast of Africa.
