Hi,
We are based in
Seattle and got lucky by getting the whole summer off (!). My plan is to sail up to Kodiak, AK where I worked salmon seining one season long ago. I am interested in getting some ideas on routing from others in sail boats who have done it.
Depending on
weather, we would like to go on the outside up as far as we can. The idea is to make time going up and take our time coming back. I am hopeful of doing
Seattle to Sitka in one shot but realize we may have to duck into a few places on the way up. Due to time constraints and the short season (and short-handed crew: wife and two children), going up on the inside will probably take too long.
Our departure date is June 1. We need to be back in Seattle end of August. If you have done this trip, or close to it (PWS, Kenai, etc), and have some suggestions, please let me know.
Many thanks.
