Sailing license for chartering boat in Europe

Hello everyone
I have asa 101, 103, 104 a d 118.
I have chartered many times in turkey and Croatia before. Lat year was the first year I was asked for a sailing license and they wouldn't accept my asa certificates. After arguing with agent they finally gave me the boat. This year they are asking for a license again. Any idea how to get one? I really don't want to go thru another course.

Yes, the ICC worked for me in Croatia and Australia. I believe it works in most countries.

The website (mentioned by @jasl) says I have to get ICC (european) or can actually get the American version (IPC). I should be able to get the IPC without having additional courses but does anyone know if it is accepted in europe?

The US version isn't cheap. I'm in the middle of it. About $1000 +/-.

As of 2018 the following countries accept the ASA IPC certificate: Belarus, Croatia, France, Greece, Poland, Portugal, Spain, and Turkey.


Send your information from them, get the IPC, and you should be good.


Then send them a copy online before you show up to collect the boat. Do your bureaucratic arguing in advance, on the internet.
