I have read some conflicting information regarding citizenship and residency when it comes to licensing. I'll keep it short, I used to reside in
Germany over 10 years ago, there I obtained my
ICC (SBF-See). I no longer hold German residence and was never a German citizen. Now, if I were to
charter a
boat in
Croatia would the
charter company:
A) accept my German
ICC even though I'm not a resident/citizen of
Germany.
B) not accept my German ICC, and require an ICC from either the nation were I'm resident/citizen or a Croatian ICC.
I've read that the ICC only applies internationally if you are a citizen or resident of the country that issued the
license. This information was based from other forum posts so not sure if that's true.
