Most fortunate person

That’s me. I feel very fortunate.

I got a Christmas Gift. I want to share and hope others enjoy and share, and think of the smells.

It’s a hoodie (a hooded sweatshirt) from a local shop. Named “The Boat Shop.” That’s where I take my outboards for service. And buy lures. And have line wound on spools. It has a smell from sitting in the shop.
Maybe bits of tar. Gasoline. Oil. Bait. New clothes. Mostly gas, oil, and bait. Hard to say.
My wife, who bought it, says she always tied gasoline smells to her dad’s sailboats. And diesel to the Gulfstreamer Yacht. Classy and happy and fun. Her brother was the Chief Engineer on that yacht.
She bought me a watch cap too. Same smell. As she says, “smells like summer.” It’s sweet.

And as an added bonus she gave me a hot water bottle. Puts me in mind of some recent discussions here.

Best wishes and I hope everyone here is well.

Speaking of takehersailing ...
Anyone know what ever happened to Trish Lambert, and her forum?
