Looking for Yanmar 3GM30 engine mounts
If someone has some, preferably in Canada/USA, please write back!
Had some made and they are not good. Lots of vibration and I can see them wearing down fast.
Thanks

Re: Looking for Yanmar 3GM30 engine mounts
I've had these on my yanmar for about a year and still in good shape.

Re: Looking for Yanmar 3GM30 engine mounts
Just an FYI. I replaced the motor mounts this year. If I recall the rear ones were "100" and the front ones "75". I couldn't tell this from the condition of the old ones on the engine until after I'd removed them and could look more closely.

I recall the opposite.
For front mounts, use '50 shore' mounts (max 75kg load) Yanmar reference this mount as their '100' mount, with part number 124772-08341.
For rear mounts (transmission/shaft end) , use '40 shore' mounts (max 40kg load) Yanmar reference this mount as their '75' mount, with part number 128270-08341.

Claude at Bay Shore always had good prices for Yanmar mounts.
bay.shore2(ay)verizon(dot)net
Mack Boring has everything Yanmar.

Re: Looking for Yanmar 3GM30 engine mounts
I have a Powercat with 2 Yanmar 4LHA engines. I replaced the engine mounts with Yanmar mounts and was pretty disappointed in the performance. They didn’t hold up well and the engine torqued so much that they prematurely wore out my main shaft lip seal. I did a fair amount of research and the general consensus that Yanmar mounts are pretty soft. In fact on one engine they bottomed out and it was metal against metal. This past summer I replaced them with IsoFlex mounts. Very happy with the results. In fact, Jon Lucco from IsoFlex Spent a lot of time understanding my engines, reduction gear and where they were placed in order to get the right mount. I couldn’t be more pleased. I chose them after looking into many brands and also on a recommendation from Tides marine the manufacturers of my lip seal. I hope this helps

Re: Looking for Yanmar 3GM30 engine mounts
GordMay is right. Shop around on the internet using the Yanmar parts numbers. The retail prices offered range wildly.
Personally, I am thinking about the IsoFlex mounts.
For a Yanmar 3GM30, pay attention to the 100 vs 75 and the correct placement.
Brewer's in CT, installed a new Yanmar for the PO and had the mounts in the wrong placement.

Re: Looking for Yanmar 3GM30 engine mounts
Had space limitations which didn't allow for using the stock Yanmar mounts. Went to these guys online. Told them the engine spec's and they sent a set of aftermarket mounts that had a much smaller foot print than the massive Yanmar mounts. Have worked well though haven't put a ton of hours on the engine. https://www.bushingsinc.com/Marineinfo.htm

Re: Looking for Yanmar 3GM30 engine mounts
I maintain that the best engine mounts are made by "Bushings" USA. and offered as OE on Cummins and several other brands of engine but for small engines they tend to be a bit hard. The Isoflex mounts are pretty good and seem to last quite well ......but the mounts to avoid are called "Polyflex"....similar looking product .....but nowhere near the same quality and longevity as the IsoFlex mounts.

Thanks, Gord. This is why I should never pull a number from memory!
