Hello , I don't know all the tricks of communicating with folks in this forum, but I do have a question for you from a thread that you were talking about your oil leak. I also have a Yanmar 4JH2E with what I'd term a minor but growing leak. Q is: are you referring to the oil pan gasket or something different in this comment? Thank you

Re: Yanmar leaking oil. Where from ?
I have a 4JH4E 2005 and have a slight leak where the oil pan spacer fits onto engine. A few drops per season so not critical...... however I have already determined that I can get to and remove it all with engine in boat. But all set ups are different.

    Good luck!

    Trying to be happy
Sailing since I was 15 and began on my Uncles boat... Boats I've owned since 2002: 1977 Cal 34 III (5-years), 1986 Pearson 36-2 (10-years), Beneteau 423 (1-year). Moved up to a larger boat in the hopes that we will soon move onto the boat for extended cruising. Have to pay off the house first as we want to have a land base to come home to.
