I weathered Hurricane Matthew in October at Brunswick Landing. Prior to Matthew the 'net worked fine.

Always works for me here on dock 5. Comcast recently replaced a faulty modem which helped. For some reason, dock ten needs to be reset often.

A major problem for us and many other marinas is the (prohibited) use of signal repeaters, amplifiers, or extenders by boaters. These devices cause serious interruption in the Wi-Fi network causing outages and other intermittent problems. I can't find the newsletter, but Jeffrey Siegel (Active Captain) even addressed this issue. Offenders are difficult to locate, unless they are dim enough to use their boat name on their signal. I have caught a few, and had them unplug their equipment. This requires a boat to boat search for offending equipment (if visible). We do the best we can, but the Wi-Fi issue is a real thorn. Some folks are streaming movies while their neighbors can't hook up. And that's the facts.
